THE OOSTEN

Project Description

The Oosten, on South Williamsburg’s district, is a perfect mix between old and new Brooklyn.
Bricks and gunmetal framing windows compose the façades in a modern interpretation of the old neighborhood’s industrial style.
Dutch designer Piet Boon used clean, streamlined elements – concrete and steel – for the Oosten’s seven different units to create stunning variations on the facades. The complex melts itself in the surrounding greens of parks and trees, gaining an almost natural prestige.
